THE TABLET THAT I'M USING IS A 2017 MODEL IPAD (5TH GEN), BUT THERE WASN'T AN OPTION FOR THAT.
Minecraft can open normally, but the menu screen is messed up. Pressing the play or settings button will just show the background panorama and nothing else. Achievements shows up like regular, but I haven't signed in to Xbox live.
The bug fixes of 1.2.9 could be the culprit.
The Ui is set to Classic (this might help).

Any third party add-on or resource pack issues need to be taken up with the creator of the add-on or resource pack.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please feel free to recreate the issue.
