When trying to walk back, there is a long delay before the character starts moving back.
Steps to reproduce: on a touch device like iPhone, walk forward on level ground, stop, then press back and wait without moving the camera. Eventually it will start moving back.
Edit: Moving the camera "unfreezes" the button.

I’ve experienced this also. Whenever I hold the backwards button, my character is still for a couple seconds and then it does what I want. The only way to instantly move backwards is move your camera while simultaneously holding down the button or pressing on the edge of the downwards button. Its really difficult and annoying because I want to focus on building instead of having trouble going backwards.
