Nether dose not take you back to the original place you bulit it

When you return from the nether it takes you to a random place and not where you entered. I have tried resetting the nether and even tried a new world and this issue was still present

This behavior is normal. Portals in the Overworld and the Nether aren't permanently linked. To get them to link reliably to a specific portal in the other dimension, you have to follow certain rules about where you place them. See the Nether Portal article on the wiki for details, and ask for help on the Community Support Reddit or the Minecraft Discord channel if you need assistance.

This is not how it used to work and dose not work like this on PC so how is this works as intended

Please provide the exact coordinates of the portals in the nether and overworld tgat are supppsed to be linked.

The best way to see if the coordinates are correct is to divide the x and z value of the portal in the overworld by 8. You could build a new portal in the coordinates you got or (when there is already a portal) if the values the same in the nether it should work just fine.

Note:

-y-values are the same in the nether in the overworld.

-the coordinates must only differ by about 10 or less otherwise it wont link properly.
