I am a redstone person so I really care about redstone. So first I made an double piston extender like the first picture, I flicked the lever which powered it and looked like what is in the second picture, and flicked it again to turn it of, but it ended up either like the third picture or the forth picture. Than I took of the block the pistons are pushing like it shows in the fifth picture. I flicked the lever, like it showed it the sixth picture, I flicked the lever again to turn it off, and it ended up like the fifth picture again.
