Lava used in dispensers no longer works in survival mode.

When using a dispenser with lava to create a lava blade in survival mode does not cook your victims but acts more like water and will suffocate them when left dispensed. Resulting in an uncooked kill. The dispensers work correctly in creative mode. This was not an issue until the 1.2.13 update.

Could not reproduce in 1.2.13.54 on Windows 10.

This is probably specific to the design you are using. Please provide more details and, if possible, a screenshot showing your layout and how your redstone is configured. Also, what are you using as victims?

Chickens, Cows, Sheep, and Pigs are the victims of my device. The redstone is quick flash and fry method which works correctly in creative mode. When playing in survival mode with the same redstone setup you get a lava flash and the above mentioned mobs do not catch fire. When I force the dispensers to stay in dispense mode the lava acts as smothering block. All mobs are standing on a half slab of stone above a hopper.

Hello. I had a similar issue. It was fixed by Killerbeenl's post suggestion - remove the block above the lava. My chickens stopped suffocating and began to burn up again.
