I don't know if it's just a problem I'm experiencing, but there are barely any animals spawning. For example, I was exploring a map for about an hour, and I only came across one chicken and one cow. It doesn't matter what seed I use. If there is any possible way to fix this, it'd be much appreciated. Thank you!

This happenes to me all the time. I’m not sure if it’s a bug, I would think so but it may just be an unintended side effect of having passive spawn rates super low on MCBE. Unless i’m mistaken I remember long ago that in either MCBE and/or MCPC they did add a feature where the more animals you kill in an area the less likely they are to spawn, (much like the longer you stay in an area the more enemy mobs spawn). So if your goal is to get the resources from those animals it is best to create farms right away and treat the animals like diamond as they can be extremely rare like you explain here.
