Droppers are not dropping items.at first I thought it was because I was using a world with experimental gameplay, but I tested it in a world without ex play and it did not work there either.

Can you attach a screenshot of your mechanism? I understand how the droppers and the hopper are placed, but what matters is how they are getting powered.
I can recreate it and take a shot if you give me a few. I ended up scrapping it and starting over with a different system. Could not figure it out. If it helps it was powered by a line of redstone two long, leading into the dropper that was facing up, and had a button as activation. There was no other redstone or power around it. I'll get a pic in just a few.
Image uploaded. Now as I said before, I am no expert with redstone, but I did research YouTube and other various outlets and that comparator should shut the clock off, if I understand it right, but the clock just keeps flickering.
What item did you put in the hopper dropper loop? As that needs to be a non stack-able to let the redstone-comparator output enough power (like a sword).

Toyed around with this all night last night and decided to post it this morning. Shortly after posting figured out that droppers are working but a system I am trying to use is broken. I am not redstone savy enough to explain it but I will try. It involved a dropper facing up into a dropper facing into a hopper facing down into another dropper that faces back to the original dropper to create a cycle. There is a comparator facing out of the last dropper and into a redstone clock. When an item is in the dropper with the comparator facing out of it, it should stop the redstone clock but it does not.
