Sadly this is not a bug. It is a feature that is 100% intended by the developers. I, as-well as others have all reported this before and they always claim it’s a feature. I posted this on MC Suggestions Reddit and the consensus was that it is a feature not a bug. They have yet to add this to Java Edition.
Sorry. I wish this was a bug not a feature as-well.
