Could you give us some more information about your device, as well as a few screenshots of your video settings?

Although I had not changed any video settings, I restored default settings and that seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you for the fast response

Thanks for checking the settings. Glad to see your issue was resolved. By any chance did you have any resource packs applied?
I notice from your screen shot that you may have had Fancy Graphics off (the arm doesn't have the dynamic lighting given by fancy graphics).
