The Enter key works like Left Click when buttons are highlighted

This device specific issue occurs whenever the hitbox for a selection is highlighted from a mouse. Pressing enter will execute the correct function while using the arrow keys to act as a cursor, but shouldn't do this when a mouse is on screen. That being said, this issue is only present when the player is able to use a mouse, and access the in-game items and menu buttons.

An easier representation of this is if a player opens the chat window and holds their mouse over the exit button. The player then types in chat and presses the enter key when finished. Instead of the message being displayed, the click sound will play and the window will close without the message in chat, or in the player's chat history.

This no longer happens when the player has a message in chat. The message appears and doesn't close the chat window.

As info, the described behavior is actually part of a Windows UI design standard called Common User Access (CUA) that was formalized back around Windows 95 as I recall. In those days many people lacked a mouse, and used TAB to move the focus from button to button. ENTER was then used to activate the highlighted button. This behavior was implemented for people who do have a mouse as well, for the sake of a consistent user interface, and also because even though you have a mouse, you shouldn't be forced to use it if your hands are already on the keyboard. I hate having to go back and forth between clicking and typing; don't you?
