Was mining in a cave, mined some gravel and and a massive amount fell and I ended up in lava, boohoo lost my stuff. But, after I went back to collect my stuff the game froze and then crashed, and when I tried to return the Xbox Dashboard the Xbox froze, I tried to turn it off via the button but wouldn’t shut down properly, I then power cycled the system and it wouldn’t turn back on even after unplugging the console from power. 20 minutes passed and the system has restarted. Little tatted as I’m on an Xbox One X...

I should state that by ‘massive amount fell’ I mean like an area of maybe 6x6 of gravel on the ground flat fell, not a pile of it on top of each other

Okay to add on further, the world I was playing is completely gone from Minecraft, it doesn’t exist anymore. I’ve started the game up and it’s just gone, even after syncing old worlds

The gravel falling is what normally happens when you try to mine a layer of "floating" gravel. The same thing happens with floating sand or concrete powder. It wouldn't cause the Dashboard or power problems.

Since your console wouldn't power back on until after a 20 minute cooldown, it's very likely that the Xbox overheated. That would cause the console to stop responding and would have prevented the game from being able to save the world. In turn, that could cause the world to either disappear or fail to open again.

Check that your Xbox is positioned properly using the setup instructions. Be sure to check beneath it for items that might have slipped under unnoticed. If dust has accumulated around the ventilation holes, try using a vacuum cleaner to remove it.

If the problem persists, try using the Xbox One Support site.

So is there a way to get my world back? It had previously been saved several times so shouldn’t I be able to load back in at an older save point rather than the world just not existing anymore?
