Edit: bug report can be closed, the issue fixed itself somehow
This is not a duplicate of MCPE-33751!
I have a chunk aligned iron farm that won't spawn iron golems, unless I remove all the water blocks. Then they appear. If I put the water back again, the iron golems stop spawning.
Conclusion: Iron Golems refuse to spawn in Update Aquatic's water blocks.
Again, this is not a duplicate of MCPE-33751. I found out more info.

I believe this is fixed in 1.6. I'd seen some people complain about their iron farms being broken, so I made a world for it. The iron golems spawned fine on water

After messing around with it for a few hours it suddenly started working. I changed nothing about the farm. Not sure what did the trick, but I'm closing the ticket.

I would not close this until it's fixed in a release version. Not all of us play the betas, and as of 1.5.2 this is still a problem.
Resolving as fixed based on the comments above - please comment with any further information if you feel this is still a valid issue, and include steps to to reproduce the bug.
