I made a fish tank and lured a sea turtle into it with sea grass. After doing this I noticed the entire realm would lock up for a moment every 10 seconds or so. You could tell it was happening because the fish would stop swimming, blocks would not break / reappear, players would not hear themselves eat.. etc. I believe this may be related to the Sea turtle trying to swim back to its home beach but unable to. In my case I bred the turtle in a castle with some sand and water put in an area. then lured it maybe 20 blocks away to a glass encased water area with a bubble column in the middle (maybe 5x5x5 blocks of water). upon killing the turtle the lag seems to have gone away.

I bred it in a corner of the castle on some sand with a couple blocks of water, grew it, and then a couple days later lured it to the tank.
I brought the eggs to the castle by picking them up with silk touch. The host beach where the eggs were made was maybe 2000 blocks away
I have the same problem, but I am on an offline world. I found two turtles a few thousand blocks away, bred them, used silk touch to get the eggs, brought back to my house and let them hatch. Soon after they grew up, I noticed that all of my animals would freeze up every little bit (I have a thing of cows, chickens, rabbits, horses, sheep, and i am on a village of 40+ villagers, which all of that probably doesnt help anything). I went and killed all of the turtles, and now all of the animals are fine.

Was the turtle newly bred, or did it just spawn in that area?
