i made a flat world then i built a castle then i saved and quit then came back in and nothing was there so i built the castle again then i saved and quit after about 15 min I came back in and nothing was there again.

Can you please add any more information about the world? Was it an old or a converted world? Are you able to provide a copy of the world save?
