[MCPE-36624] End portal gateways not working

After defeating the dragon the end portal gateways do not work when an enderpearl is thrown into them. Instead the player ends up in the bedrock of the portal and needs to enderpearl out again or suffocate. A second portal was created by defeating the dragon twice and this portal is affected in the same way. Players on both Windows 10 and Xbox One are affected. We have all tried on multiple occasions, from all angles to enderpearl through the gateway and it simply doesn't work. Everything looks visually as it should.
