Nintendo Switch multiplayer not working at all.

There has been issues trying to play multiplayer on the Switch console ever since buying the game. When friends try to join my game they are met with the “connecting” screen but it doesn’t change. When I try to join them, occasionally it’ll let me in, however once in, my characters body freezes yet I can still move around as if it’s okay. I can’t see my body but my friends can. Whilst moving around I get no sounds or animations for mining and I can’t collect blocks I break, they just vanish. When I find my friends in game they eventually turn invisible but I can still see and hear them mining, going through doors an so on. I’ve tried all the fixes people recommend but nothing has worked. I hope this can be fixed quickly as a lot of copies of the game were bought just for playing multiplayer. Thank you!!
