Version 1.5.3 rolled back to old save...lost 100+ hours

About 3 weeks ago, I loaded up my game with no problem.  Today, I loaded it up.  When I selected it, the save file size was above 20MB.  However, when the game loaded...it somehow rolled me back to a previous version from MONTHS ago and, easily, 100 hours of play lost.  When I exited the game, the save file is now only 6MB.  I am beyond frustrated with how much work I lost...

It's literally a previous save...not a corruption...so clearly you must keep versioned saves online somewhere...so hoping my world is not lost...

Can you confirm whether you are using (or have used) the beta version of the game?

Sorry, I saw the e-mail to edit my post but I didn't see your question.

Anyway, I'm not sure how you would even download the beta on XBox.  So, as far as I know, I've never used it.

I did use texture packs, but I don't see how that would affect the save files.  I had shown a friend the level not long before, which I think was after the first release of Update Aquatic came out, and it worked fine.  When I was about to start the game it said something like 27MB save file size.  I noticed that, for some odd reason, my texture packs were not selected...so I re-selected the Chinese texture pack and then loaded up the game...to find that my work was gone and when I exited the game to try to figure out what was up...the save file had reverted to about a 7 or 8 MB file size.

He's asking you if you enrolled in the beta, not if you used a texture pack

@PC_Screen, if you read my comment, I clearly answered that I don't know anything about any betas.  Therefore, it would seem unlikely that I could have been in a beta, as you usually know when you do such things.  So, unless Mojang just puts you into the Beta without you knowing about it, you can assume no.

Something similar to this happened to me before; it was around when minecraft windows 10 edition was first released.
