This is also happening on my realm on Android Nougat LG Q6 running 1.7.0. I find I have to exit my realm and sometimes restart Minecraft resolve, but the issue can reoccur at any time. I had my realm for a few days prior to the release without this issue. I did not experience this bug myself in that version.
I have this bug when I put minecraft app in background and come back. You can fix it by pausing the game, going to skins menu and pressing confirm button. Skin stays as long as i dont put app in background and come back again
