Fetching Realms is slow to respond or will not load at times

I find that many times on the Bedrock Minecraft Android app, the fetching of realms list for both myself and friend's tab is very slow to fetch and sometimes will not load at all, showing a blank section instead of the list of realms that should be loading. I often need to exit back to the home screen and press play several times before the fetch of realms list is successful. Not sure why this list isn't internally cached. Yes, I understand the status of each realm is checked, but lag delay like this is rather strange.

I am posting this to MCPE instead of Realms as this seems to be an issue with the app and not the realms themselves.
