Mending enchantment

I have only tested it on version 1.7.1 and when I am collecting xp with my Pickaxe out enchanted with mending most of the experience doesn't go towards repairing it like it is supposed to, but it goes towards my overall experience  levels

Are you wearing mending armour?

If so, the levels will be split between your held item and any mending armour. If the armour is full health, the xp that would go to the armour instead goes to your xp bar.
