Minecraft keeps glitching me out before I can even open the app

Hey, I have been trying to get into Minecraft for at least 2 weeks but it glitches me out every time I try to open the app. This started happening after I updated my iPad to version 12.1 so it's probably just that Minecraft needs to update to that version as well. Though Minecraft hasn't made any new updates and I have been delaying reporting this because I thought that Minecraft was just updating or something. I turned off my iPad than turned it back on to see if that would change anything but it did not, and I even reset my entire iPad but that didn't do anything either. I have tried to log into every day at least twice a day, but still the same results... So please fix this

When I tap on Minecraft it turns to a white screen for a period of time, says Minecraft, briefly shows a picture of the aquarium update, and then it glitches me out
