When I try to load a world that works well in 1.7.1, the game crashes.
There is a resource pack applied to this world called "我的世界" (Minecraft), with description "经典 我的世界 资源包" (Classic Minecraft resource pack). I unapplied that resource pack and the world was loaded then. I think this resource pack isn't what I installed but the original one.
This world works fine with 1.7.1, but can't be loaded in 1.8.0. I shared the mcworld file with OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AngJaRdbDUb7w8A18Bsi7BirDpqtFg . (It is 39MB large and can't be attached.)

Check to make sure you don't have a resource pack applied. I had the same problem, removed my resource packs, and everything worked. Even a generic resource pack will crash upon loading in 1.8.0

I also have this issue. It crashes in Android while "generating world" on a save created on this device. The world is pre-aquatic update and had worked well until 1.8.0
