[MCPE-40264] Guest or split screen water night vision issue

Me and my wife play on split screen in minecraft. We loved doing the treasure ship wrecks together. However, after the latest patch the bottom player on the split-screen can no longer see through the water and night vision no longer works. The problem does not occur for the top player on the split-screen. We tried changing the brightness and other settings of the game with no success. We also signed-up my wife with an account instead of playing as a guest, however, this has not resolved the issue. Please help.

My wife and I are having the same issue. Bottom player on split screen can't see in or through water very well.
