Character spawns in in the sky -- instant kill

I have PE minecraft, for android, and there's been this character killing glitch that happens fairly often, when I log out and log back in, my character like, spawns in the sky, sometimes in an entirely different biome/even spawning in high up over the original spawn point (even if I logged out in a cave). It's the weirdest freakin thing, and oftentimes I lose everything in the inventory, and get entirely lost in a different part of the world. It's awful, and I really curious to know what's causing this craziness. I appreciate your time.
