Lighting bug when riding on horse

I find that when riding on a horse and leaving my house for a while and then riding back to my house, the lighting messes up. The area under trees, in caves, and randomly in some stairs and around torches, seems to have a light level of near zero. It can't be fixed any other way than by reloading the world, or using torches, but it only fixes the chunk you place the torch in.
