This relates to the new update to 1.9 but the latest version isn't showing available in the list.
/locate command gives the following error:
Unknown command: locate. Please check that the command exists and that you have permission to use it.
I have attached screenshots. It doesn't affect worlds created since the recent update to 1.9 but does affect worlds created on the previous version

Could you check if you have 'Operator' or 'Member' status in your world? Or if you have turned on cheats in that world. Certain commands require higher player status and from the photos, you either have 'Visitor' status or 'Member' status but tweaked so you can only use a limited set of commands.
