[MCPE-41553] Since the recent 1.9.0 update it crashes frequently.

Ever since I updated to the most recent version (1.9.0) earlier today, I am rarely able to play for more that five minutes at a time without the program freezing or crashing. After reading some online tips, I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. This solved the problem for around one hour, but it began once more at the same frequency.

It is becoming very frustrating as I purchased the game only a week ago and it is causing it to become unplayable as the crashes cause me to lose, at times, several minutes of progress.

Same here also on Switch. I can be just starting to play or moving around for some time and it freezes. Force close and it reports the software was closed due to an error.

Further observation, if you wait patiently the game will continue. The freezes are a nuisance and hamper progress in a major way. If a freeze occurs while you are swimming you may drown if you don't hold the A button to stay on the surface.

Same problem for me. On my large survival save (200mb) its unplayable. Cant go 10 minutes without freezing during autosave.

i also have the same problem; while i play in my survival mode, just after about 10-30 minutes and then the game crashes; the screen freezes and cannot continue; i are then forced to close the minecraft game and then after i close it it pops up "The software was closed because an error occured". Then while I restarting the game then on my world i have lost a LOT of my work, i want to save my work instead of having to lose it because of this fucking bug that makes so the game crashes. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THIS VERSION OF MINECRAFT UNTIL THE BUG HAS BEEN FIXED, the game crashes only while playing offline, until this fucking bug has been fixed i play only on servers on this version or offline on my PS4 minecraft.

Can someone fix this bug or i won't be able to play it because of this bug so the game crashes 😠😠😠.
