I recently had to reinstall Minecraft because it was instantly crashing upon opening. Luckily after reinstalling that issue has been solved, but when I try to add a custom skin the game crashes. I can click on the custom skin icon and select a skin file, but when I click the file the game crashes. When I open the game back the skin is reset back to Alex. I've tried multiple different skins with same results. I've also looked at a lot of other similar posts and haven't gotten a solution.

I’m having the same issue, it’s definitely not resolved
This issue still hasn't been resolved. I reinstalled the game again, still no luck. The post has been marked as a duplicate of an issue from an older version on an iphone??? Apparently the solution there was to update the app... I already have the latest version??
