I think what OP is trying to say, is that you can’t smelt stone (normal stuff underground, not cobblestone) into smooth stone (the one with the outline, used to craft the blast furnace) which, like stated before, makes the blast furnace un-craftable.

@@unknown Although the issue has the same behavior, a new instance of this problem (in 1.13.0.1) is tracked at MCPE-47907.
