When I'm playing in my private Survival World enemy mobs spawn fine but as soon as a friend joins the world all enemy mobs stop spawning. I am playing on Hard Mode.

It's possible that there are too many mobs in the world - does the issue resolve itself if you toggle the difficulty to peaceful and back again?
