If you are trying to quick craft/shift+click craft an item(ie: craft an iron ingot out of iron nuggets) and you have said result item(ie: iron ingot) already in your inventory, but your inventory is full it will only let you craft the item once or not at all until you make an open spot in your inventory even though it will not be filled either way.
