Magma Blocks do not emit light in Bedrock

Magma Blocks in Bedrock do not emit light whereas in Java they do.

I don’t play Java, but if I’m correct, they should emit little to no light. How much do they emit on Java? Just so you know, magma blocks are supposed to be translucent, in that light from torches, glow stone, etc, will pass through it

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Working as Intended.

Although it's a very low light level, I can see a slight difference in stone and dirt textures after placing a magma block beside them.

When magma blocks were introduced in Java Edition, there was a bug that caused magma blocks to emit higher light levels if they were exposed to a brighter light source. Many people liked the bug, so Mojang may be in no great hurry to fix it. But it was still a bug and was never the intended design, and Bedrock does not have the bug. Perhaps that is what is causing the difference you're seeing.
