When I close out of the game, my game keeps running and my character stays in the game. I starved to death because of this and lost everything in my inventory. Is there any way you can help?

It was a personal world on my phone, I clicked save and quit and waited for the world's list before I left the app
I'm sorry, but it simply isn't possible for your world to continue running after you've quit it and closed the app. It might be that someone else played your world on your device without you knowing they did.
I'm the only one who lives in my house, but maybe I didn't fully close out of my world idk. Is it possible to roll back a survival world in mcpe?
Only by restoring a backup copy. If you haven't been making copies, I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do to recover it. That's why when you join the Beta, you get several warnings about it being unstable. (I even back up my worlds in the regular releases, but I'm super-cautious.)
Please don't mark reports as Private unless they describe an exploit or contain necessary personal information.
Where was the world running: on Realms or on another user's device? Did you click Save and Quit, then wait for the worlds list to be displayed before closing the app?
