frezzes in main menu alot not able to get to game without trying over and over

i was in the main menu and it would just frezze up and quit.. but i would keep trying over and over because i love to play and it would work like 1 in 50 times
What I expected to happen was...: to be really fast and go to the maps that i wanted to play

2. ...just click the game from main menu of the ipod
3. ...then watch the game frezze up
