Skeleton spawner still spawning even when lit

I came back to my skeleton spawner in my survival world and even when I lit up the spawner on all 4 sides with torches, skeletons are still spawning.

Tried leaving the vicinity to prevent the spawner from working, still spawns skeletons as well.
