Playing on realms with friends.
Illager captain was killed which started the raid, first wave was killed and we moved onto the second wave. The second wave spawned on top of a nether portal.
After killing all visible mobs the raid counter was stuck at 1, after a while I went through the nether portal and found the last illager and killed it.
All members in the realm still had 1 remaining even though all illagers were killed, my raid counter was gone completely, possibly because of going through the nether portal.
After logging off and back on, my counter was back with 1 remaining.
In short... Illagers going though the nether portal screws the raids.
We arn't sure if there would be any future problems with this, but we rolled back the realm and blocked the portal so it won't happen again.

We're actually already tracking this issue at MCPE-45532, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
