Game freezes while mining

Sometimes while mining, the game will freeze. It doesn't matter if it's mining coal or just digging dirt, and doesn't matter what tool I'm using. However, it only seems to be the graphics, as I can still hear noises, and other things seem to still be running fine; I just can't move and the picture is stuck with my pickaxe in the air, particles floating in place, etc. I have to pull up another window so I get mouse focus back and can close it. It's been happening on two different Win10 computers over a couple Win10 versions and several Bedrock versions. Since the most recent update (v1.11.1 with the hotfix for game crashes since the new villager jobs came out), it's gotten much worse, and will crash after only a couple blocks every time I start it again. I found the logs folder, and have attached two different copies of the *.dat file that gets generated.

Thank you for your report!

Crashes such as these are logged automatically, and will be looked into further by the development team.

If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines including steps to reproduce the issue.

If your world is crashing, and you have a copy of the world available, you might like to make a copy of it available here for investigation:

  • On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.

  • On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds

  • On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS.

If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
