My game lags so much is hard to play. Before 1.9.0 everything seemed fine. But since I started playing again it takes forever to load and sometimes just kicks me from the servers. I'd tell you how to recreate the "bug" but I don't know what's wrong either.

Maybe something is wrong with your game console.
You may be right. I had a couple friends try playing Minecraft on the same world via Realms on their own Nintendo Switch consoles. The problems they had were minimal and to be expected, such as minor block lag, but nothing substantial like I was experiencing.
I don't know what to do, though. My Switch is up to date, my Minecraft software is up to date. I tried restarting the system and it didn't do anything. I tried redownloading the game, too, and I'm still having the same issues.
Maybe something is wrong with your game console.
