Giant jungle tree leaves are generated far enough from the tree that upon receiving a block update, they will decay without any logs getting removed. This has been fixed in the Java version by setting the leaf decay distance to 6 instead of 4, but persists in the bedrock version.
Β
To reproduce:
1 start a new world
2 find a giant jungle tree
3 place and remove a block next to the top layer of leaves
4 wait for leaves to decay

I decided to check back on the state of this game after nearly half a year. Good to see many bugs being addressed. I decided to check back on some bugs that were contested and report back if they still happen.
This still exists in 1.16.200. Completely unchanged from when I last reported about it. Leaves still decay on the outer levels. I would recommend reopeneing.

I just tested this and it still exists. I have found though that block updating it dosenβt cause it to decay. Only breaking one of the outer leaf blocks will cause itβs decay. This can be best represented by growing a Jungle Tree with TickSpeed at 100 or greater, then breaking a single outer leaf. All the far out outer leaves die instead of remaining as they should.
