In my world, I have a diamond sword with a Looting III enchantment. When I use the sword to kill a chicken, it will drop 1-3 raw chickens, which doesn’t make sense. On the PC and Legacy console edition, they only drop 1 raw chicken, even when killed with a looting III sword, which is how it should be. The looting III enchantment should only affect the number of feathers a chicken drops, NOT the number of raw chicken.

Yes, that's how we've collected food since the beginning of Minecraft. Get a looting sword, kill cows, pigs, chickens, and get more meat!
Looks really weird to see a chicken that drops more than 1 raw chicken, which it doesn't make any sense at all. It might be the loot table that is causing this to happen. The wiki also shows that chickens can drop 1-2 raw chicken if killed with a Looting I, 1-3 raw chicken if killed with Looting II and 1-4 if killed with Looting III. It's very weird.
Weird that it's working correctly? we've used looting to get meat since the beginning, it is essential!
Per the wiki https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Chicken this is intended.
@Rocks except for some items, like raw chicken. That shouldn't be multiplied, since it is literally the entire chicken's body.
