frost walker boots ice don't break after a while and you can break blocks through them i think you might also be able to place blocks through them but the blocks do act like a solid block meaning you can walk on them but you can also break blocks through them

From what I have done to look through this is I noticed to fix it either updating the block by placing around it or will start cracking, or fire will make it turn back to water instantly.

I also started noticing that when i had a farm going on and trying to break it which is solid to stand on but can break anything beneath it...super annoying it is 🤷♂️
