Frost walker ice can't be broken

Summary:
Water frozen with the Frost walker enchant (ice) can't be broken by the player. Instead the blocks below/behind the ice are broken or mined or interacted with. (this can be most easily reproduced when the time is set to night, as frost walker created ice will not melt in this condition).

Steps to reproduce:

  • (optional) Set the time to night time

  • Have a player with the frost_walker (1 or 2) enchant on boots stand over shallow water (for example 1 block deep).

  • Try to break the ice created by frost_walker in survival mode or creative

Observed result:
The ice is not broken, but the blocks behind the ice can be broken. (it behaves like water)

Original description:

Updated the description and Confirmed.

Adding in the helpful extra info from MCPE-41418:

Frost walker ice, created by using the Frost walker enchantment on water; only has an collision box for entities.

This creates the following bugs (may be incomplete):

  • You can't use splash potions on the frost walker ice, they fall straight through it .

  • Eggs, snowballs, arrows (any projectile) will also fall straight through the ice.

  • You can mine through the frost walker ice.

  • You cannot place blocks on the ice.

Uhm, still an issue in 1.11.0.5. It seems you guys have forgotten about it, since the enchantment is so rare. But I’ve had issues revolving around not being able to break the ice. Please fix soon

Do you know if having multiple shalker chests affects it as well

This is affecting the full 1.10 release, all platforms.. It's actually very very broken, you can't break it or hit it. You can break things thru it. Its still push-able and pull-able which is weird. And it melts about 100x faster than normal. Nothing is good here xD

Yes, and melts almost instantly when a light source is placed. I have not experimented with it in daylight, but I would imagine that you would just fall straight through?

this has been fixed in beta 1.12.0.3

This has been happening to me I can confirm it.
