have tried multiple times to get the iron belly achievement but it wont happen even if i starve myself down to 1/2 a heart

However, this issue is {color:#FF5722}Working as Intended{color}.
I'm afraid 1/2 a heart isn't hungry enough. You have to actually wait until you start taking damage from starvation before you can earn the achievement.
