Villagers keep breeding more than number of beds in village.
Breeding has stopped once, but start breed again triggered by a trade with villagers. In the meantime, I was don't put the new bed in village.
The breeding continues, eventually over 60 villagers against 23 beds spawned.
As a test, I kept watch over villagers breed themself. Then the game has crashes.
FYI,That villages features
- Savanna biome.
- There is the end portal in the basement.
- Generated by v1.11.0.
- some villager does reached max level of trade.
- First villager is cured zombie villager.

I confirmed that crashes was fixed on v1.11.4 on Nintendo Switch in my situation.
But villagers still keep breeding.
I think this has to do with the village expanding bug...possibly. I'm having the same problem. Villagers are 'seeing' beds very far away from them
Take away the wheat and they can't make bread, I learned in my village I made for the villagers I brought back by boat, the only time they breed is when I toss bread to them, and I'm sure they can make bread if they have a wheat farm nearby, I don't have any issues with them getting out of hand due to I bring them the food to share.
Could it be that, instead of them "seeing" a bed that is too far away, maybe there is a bed within the village that is inaccessible to villagers? When villagers cannot reach a bed they have claimed, they will unclaim it as shown by the angry particles over the villager and over the bed. As soon as the bed is unclaimed, every villager with enough food will begin to breed.
While I have not experienced the exact problem described in this bug, I have seen villagers over-breed when one available bed results in 2-3 babies being created.
If you have a bed for yourself in the village they villagers cannot access (perhaps behind an iron door or a fence gate), this could be the source of the problem. In a village I constructed, I worked around this by putting my own bed up in a watchtower that I access by ladders. The bed is 9 blocks higher than the village and they never try to claim it.
I have this same issue although not to the extreme of so many villagers. (I am using Windows 10 version on PC). Mine usually stop at 2 over the bed total. I am going to try and remove all wheat and see how that goes. I remembered that this is an older post from last May and mine was triggered by the 1.13.0 update.
I use Windows 10. I'm pretty sure the pathfinding cannot keep up properly. Villagers unlink from beds and jobsite blocks, and if the bed happened to be the village center, the center may move to an area far away. Or it could create two village centers, or even more. A village center is defined by the first bed that is linked to a villager, and a village can have only 32 beds max before it creates a second village. If that happens, the village boundaries may extend way further than you think. I had villagers walking into my house, which was 200 blocks away from the village. They saw a jobsite block, so they wandered over.
The most secure way to maintain a village center in the position you want it to be is:
Place one bed, make one villager link to this bed, and lock this villager up in this room. Like a mayor on house arrest. And don't place more than 32 beds to make sure you have only one village.
im having this issue after expanding village post bee update on my xbox
realm it seems to have started randomly when villagers wandered from prespawned village to built one but the entities is overwhelming my realm

My friends have a new server in 1.14. We established and fenced off a village. Now we cannot stop them breeding so there is constantly 500+ entities at any given time. Very frustrating because creating lag. They wont stop breeding even though there is not enough beds for them all. There also is a lot of Iron Golem's.
