Nether Portal crash

Hello there . My ginger minecraft cat went through the nether portal to look out of a window in my nether base. I went after him like a good owner lol and then when we tried to go back through the portal my game crashed (I was very worried for my hours of work) if this helps he was sitting on a chest which was stopping it from opening and looking out a glass block window I also have iron golem living at the nether base. The crash happened again when I rejoined, then I did a few things around my nether base then safely returned through the portal with the cat no crashes, perhaps a rare crash but still thought I would report this one. (also I lost no progress the game had saved yay)
