Villagers suffocating

CAUSE @ EFFECT

When a village is rendered in very rarely a villager can be seen and heard suffocating in their homes (From my testing it seems to just be in their homes and this happens the most in snowy villages at the igloo homes at the tables) after some time they die.

NOTES

  • Only happens when a village is rendered in and you have to travel fast to see it.

  • Happened to me on Bedrock switch v1.11.14 may happen on other platforms needs more testing.

  • More common in homes with short roofs.

  • You can save them.

I noticed the same thing, but raising the roof one block up fixed the problem for me. I think the cause of this is that sometimes when you load villagers while they are on their beds the game thinks they are standing on the bed and they start suffocating because their head would be inside the roof even though they lie on their beds.Β

It happens in Igloo's the village will spawn on the bed from sleeping and slowly suffocate. Usually happens when you sleep in the village. Annoying.

-I just loaded 1.15 Pre-Release 1. I was testing an issue I had with the last snapshot where some villagers would not go to bed at night. I teleported to a snow village and instantly watched a villager die by suffocation, it's head was in the ceiling above or near the bed. You can see this in the screenshot I've attached. I've also included a fresh copy of the world (named Pre-Release1) created with seed#7333969029456169764. I have "cheats" enabled so you can quickly type in "/tpΒ -502 70 -643" or "/tpΒ -507 70 642" to get to the point in the screenshot.

Sorry, added to the wrong bug tracker.
