When playing on bedrock edition, occasionally the game will have a giant lag spike and disconnect me for being idle even if for only a short time. when this happens sometimes ill die even when i am disconnected.

Having this issue as well on XBOX One. Random lag spike the game freezes and I disconnect from the realm.

Still disconnecting to XBOX main screen with no error messages several times an hour with no real pattern. Like walking through a desert, opening a chest, and swimming in water.
Sadly, this is a very common issue in the community and has already been reported as MCPE-41479. However the idle disconnection is something I have not heard of yet, please let me know more. Also put that info on MCPE-41479. Thank you! 😉
