Stone Mason will not buy stone crafted in furnace

When I silk touch stone, the item I get from it will not stack with stone from a furnace. This creates another problem with the Stone Mason, I have to silk touch my stone if i wish to trade it. Both stones behave the same with crafting and smelting, the 'false' stone just cannot be traded or stacked with silked stone
