Villagers won't get in boats or minecarts AND maps from villagers are glitching while in boat

As of the new update I've noticed 2 things:

1) Villagers have not been entering boats or minecarts.  They've been treating them like any other blocks and either stepping over them or glitching through them.

2) Trading with villagers to get the maps of hidden places will still give maps.  However, I've noticed that when I try to use the map, if my person is holding, while in a boat, it his arm/body starts shaking and the locator on the map never points in the right direction.  For example, I got a map and was going to see the ocean temple it was taking me to.  I was traveling by boat and every time I was in the boat using the map my person kept shaking and the map would take me in one directions for a bit and then another, but never pointed in the right direction.  I decided to test while I could see the temple from a bit away so I could see when the map was messing up.  This only happened while my person was holding the map (in either hand) AND sitting in the boat.  Once my person wasn't seated in the boat and simply standing on it while holding the map, the map worked.

After finding these 2 bugs I think something is going on with the boats and minecarts in general.

Will attach photos as soon as I can.

Thank you for taking the time to mention these bugs. It would be most helpful if you could keep these reports to one bug per ticket though, so we can track the progress of each of them individually.

(You can find an example bug ticket here.)

Also, we'd recommend making use of the search feature before writing a new bug report, as it's very likely that the issue has been mentioned already, and you can add a vote and any new information to the main ticket.
