[MCPE-4886] Invisible chest

What I expected to happen was...:
View chests normally

What actually happened was...:
See invisible chests

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start the game for the first time.
2. Go to any world
3. Place a normal or large chest.
4. Exit game.
5. Start the game for the second time.
6. Go to selected world.
7. Invisible chests!!!

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 0.7.4 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

i can confirm it's still occuring in 0.7.4 - happens to signs as well, though you can see the text from the signs, just not the actual texture of it.

But this was fixed since 0.7.4 because Tommaso changed the flat chests to the normal ones(and this pic shows the player holding the flat one), and also i can proof that.

I've just encounter the same issue on version 0.7.6 Alpha (the today's update from google Play). My son was crying he loose all items, but fortunately❓ it's just invisible chest.
Btw - thanks for publishing this Jira site - I wouldn't found invisible chest so fast without it.

Ditto for me, although it happened after playing (and exiting) for a while on 0.7.6.0. (Nexus 7, Android 4.3)

Confirmed reproducible in 0.9.0 Alpha Build 3 on Samsung Galaxy S4 (stock), Android 4.4.2

Start a new survival world. Find a tree, punch 3 blocks of wood, craft all to planks. Craft crafting table, place crafting table. Use crafting table to make chest. Place chest, quit to title, load the new world, chest is present (can walk into/on it and interact with it) but invisible. Breaking invisible chests gets you a chest. Replacing the chest, quiting to title, loading the new world does NOT make the chest invisible.

Confirmed for 0.10.4 on iPad Mini (iOS 8.1.3). Tested in creative mode, with a double chest.

Two points of interest:

I cannot reproduce the bug on my Android device in creative mode, only in survival, but Pat N can reproduce in creative on her iOS device.

If I follow the steps in my earlier post, but add the step of tapping or opening & closing the chest after I place it, then the bug does not occur.

I can no longer reproduce this bug on Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 5.0.1 MCPE 0.11.1 (the version dated June 11, 2015, yes there are two 0.11.1s) in creative or survival with single or double chests. Can someone else please attempt and confirm it has been fixed in iOS too so we can close this ticket as fixed? Do we have any Windows Phone testers?
